Who’s Leading You?

Who's Leading YouYour friends are very important in life. 1 Corinthians 15:33 tells us not to be deceived that “Bad company ruins good morals.”  However, the person who leads you, could destroy your life.

In Exodus 14, Moses led the Children of Israel out of Egypt and Pharaoh was angry: he gathered his entire army and chased after them. When the Israelites saw the army, they were filled with fear.

Moses told them not to worry, to stand firm, to be confident and watch God move. The Lord instructed Moses to lift up his rod and stretch out his hand over the sea. The Lord caused the sea to go back and the waters were divided. The Israelites walked on dry ground, with walls of water on both sides, through the midst of the sea.

Pharaoh was so blinded by his anger and determined to destroy the Israelites, he and the entire army chased after them into the sea. When the children of Israel were safely on the other side, Moses raised his hand and the sea returned to its normal level. The water covered all the chariots and soldiers. Pharaoh and the entire army was destroyed. None of them survived!

So what would you do? What decision would you make? Who will you be following in your life changing moment?

If you follow the anger of a Pharaoh chasing those he only wants to destroy, you’ll lose you life.  If you follow a leader who listens to the Lord, you may be filled with fear, but they will lead you to safety.

When the Lord parted the waters, it was an amazing miracle for those who had chosen to follow Moses. However, for those who followed Pharaoh, it became a deathtrap.

The question is . . . who are you following?
